How it works

From new filing to first quote conversation in one workflow.

Real registrations from government registries

Straight from the official sources - BC Registries (OrgBook), Canada's Business Registries (MRAS) for Alberta, the Manitoba Companies Office, and Corporations Canada federally. New registrations surface within days of filing, same-day in several jurisdictions. US Secretary of State coverage is built and switched on for your markets as part of an engagement.

AI-scored for commercial P&C fit

Every registration is scored automatically and sorted into Lead, Review, or Archive, with a NAICS industry code and a short summary, so you can spot contractors, restaurants, and professional services in seconds. Your filter - jurisdictions, entity types, class keywords - decides what reaches your producers. No raw downloads.

Contacts found and graded automatically

We find each business's website, pull the phone number and email it publishes itself, verify the match against the registered name and city, and attach a confidence grade so a producer knows what they are dialing. Canadian leads are phone-first: under CASL an email only shows when the business published it.

A call card on every lead

Each lead arrives with an AI call card - what the business does, why now, the pitch angle, a talking point, the coverage lines to quote, and an opening line - so a producer can dial without prep. Deep research on any lead, a full web-search brief, is one click away when a name is worth the extra work.

Sample lead list

What your producers work from.

Three real businesses the platform scored - sorted into Lead, Review, or Archive, with contacts found and graded automatically and an AI call card behind each one. The two Canadian entries come from live daily coverage; the Florida entry is from a US program. Your list is filtered to the jurisdictions, entity types, and industries you write.

Common questions.

Why new business formations for a P&C book?

Every new business legally needs coverage within weeks of forming: workers comp with the first hire, general liability before a landlord or client will sign, usually a BOP to bundle it. A business that is days old has no agent, no incumbent, and no renewal date to wait out. These are not shared internet leads that fifteen agencies bought; they are businesses too new to be in any lead vendor's list yet. You are the first call instead of the thirtieth.

Where does the data come from?

Directly from official government business registries. Live today: BC Registries (through OrgBook), Canada's Business Registries via MRAS for Alberta, the Manitoba Companies Office, and Corporations Canada for federal incorporations. We ingest new registrations daily, score each one for commercial P&C fit, and classify it by NAICS industry code with a short AI-generated summary, then route only the records matching your filter into your feed. Our US pipelines read Secretary of State filings the same way and are switched on for your markets as part of an engagement.

What jurisdictions are covered?

Live and ingesting daily: British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and federal incorporations through Corporations Canada. US coverage - New York, Florida, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington DC - is built and tested, but the polls are paused, so we switch on the states your book actually needs when we scope your engagement rather than running them all by default. County-level targeting is available for New York; other jurisdictions are statewide or province-wide. Tell us where you write and we will prioritize.

How fresh is the data?

New registrations surface within days of the registry publishing them, and same-day in several jurisdictions - British Columbia and Alberta are near-real-time. The feed updates every day; how your team consumes it is set per engagement.

What do I actually get on each lead?

Every registration is scored automatically and sorted into Lead, Review or Archive, so producers work a ranked call list instead of a raw dump. Each lead carries a NAICS code and summary, contact details found automatically from the business's own website with a confidence grade, and an AI call card: what the business does, why now, the pitch angle, a talking point, the coverage lines worth quoting, and an opening line. Deep research - a full web-search brief on a single lead - is available on demand when a name is worth the extra work.

How does Canadian coverage handle CASL?

Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) is opt-in, not opt-out, so cold email to a Canadian business the way CAN-SPAM allows in the US is not allowed. Canadian delivery is phone-first: you get the registration, the fit score, and the phone number the business has published itself. Published-address email unlocks only once we can confirm the outreach path is CASL-compliant.

How accurate is the NAICS classification?

We use Claude to assign a NAICS code and a one-line summary based on the business name and filing details. It's strong for obviously-named businesses (e.g. 'Acme Plumbing LLC') and weaker for vague holding companies. The dashboard lets you keyword-search across both the name and the AI summary, which catches what NAICS misses.

What if a filing turns out to be irrelevant?

Refine your filter. Each account controls its own jurisdictions, entity types, counties, and NAICS keyword search. Tightening these reduces noise; widening them surfaces edge cases. The dashboard at /manage/feed lets you preview match counts in real time before saving.

How does pricing work?

NewBusinessSignal runs as a done-for-you service: we build and operate your lead program - jurisdictions, filters, scoring, contact verification, and delivery - as a monthly engagement scoped to your markets and volume. Book a consultation and we will quote your book.

What about CASL / CAN-SPAM if I contact these prospects?

Business registry filings are public records. Using them as input for cold outreach is allowed - but you are responsible for compliance with CAN-SPAM, CASL, the TCPA, and any state or provincial rules in the recipient's jurisdiction. The dashboard generates email drafts on request; whether to send them is your call.

Do you provide contact info for the businesses?

Yes - automatically. Once a new business publishes a website, we find it, pull the phone number and email the business itself published, verify the match against the registered name and city, and check email deliverability. Every contact carries a confidence grade (verified, probable, or confirmed by call), and your team's call feedback removes bad numbers for good. Contact info appears on the feed, on each business's profile, and in the CSV export. Canadian leads are phone-first under CASL.

Can the system write cold emails for me?

Yes. Set your outreach context in Settings (what you sell, target customer, signature) and the dashboard adds a Generate email button to every lead. Claude drafts a 100-150 word personalized cold email tied to the registration and your offering, ready to copy into your own inbox. Automated Gmail sending sequences - send from your own connected Gmail with a draft-only approval mode, built-in suppression list and unsubscribe - are coming soon; you remain the sender of record, responsible for CAN-SPAM and TCPA compliance.

How does delivery work?

A live dashboard your producers log into, with CSV export for your AMS or dialer. Custom delivery (SFTP, spreadsheet sync) is available per engagement.

Can you run the outreach for us?

Yes, for a limited number of agencies. With the done-for-you option we run the data, the filtering, and the outreach from our own domains, and hand you booked conversations with just-formed businesses in the classes you write. Your agency's name only appears once a prospect agrees to talk. Email info@protexaservices.com with your market and the classes you write to ask about availability.
